China Currents Submission Guidelines

China Currents actively seeks submissions from our community of readers. The topic range is broad, as you'll see from perusing our past issues. We seek thoughtful articles that cover some aspect of greater China, whether contemporary or historical. China Currents is a forum to share academic research, write a commentary on an issue of importance to you, review a recently released book or movie, or discuss something that struck you about a trip to the region, just to name some possibilities. The target length for articles is 3,000 words or less; reviews and commentary should be 500-750 words.   Use footnotes sparingly.

Submissions are reviewed; decisions on acceptance will be made in a timely manner. 

In addition to articles, we seek news of China-related events.

China Currents is published in winter (January), spring (April), and in the fall (October).
